Geologists have uncovered ancient fossilized tire tracks, offering new evidence of prehistoric civilizations' existence. These tracks, believed to be 12 to 14 million years old, have been discovered in various regions, including Turkey and Spain. Scientists describe these tracks as similar to those made by heavy beach vehicles, commonly known as all-terrain vehicles.

Dr. Alexander Koltypin, a Russian geologist, shared his discoveries on his website. As the head of the Natural Science Research Center at Moscow's International Independent Ecological-Political University, his claims have stirred controversy. Mainstream archaeologists hold that human civilization is only a few thousand years old, not millions, and are skeptical that prehistoric civilizations possessed the technology needed for such transportation tools.

Dr. Koltypin contends that the geological layers containing these fossilized tracks were formed in the late Miocene epoch, about 12 to 14 million years ago, suggesting the tracks were made long before those layers formed. He theorizes the ground at that time was soft and wet, similar to clay, allowing large vehicles to sink into the mud and leave deep tire impressions. Over time, as the area dried, vehicles continued to pass through, but the impressions were not as deep.

“The length of the vehicles is comparable to modern cars, with tire widths of about 9 inches (23 centimeters),” he explains.

Dr. Koltypin points out that few geological and archaeological studies focus on these tracks, and most sources propose they were left by donkey or camel-drawn carts. “I will never accept such claims,” he asserts, maintaining that only much heavier vehicles could produce such deep impressions, not lightweight animal-drawn carts or chariots.

Koltypin has performed extensive field studies across different countries and thoroughly reviewed local geological papers. He speculates that over 12 million years ago, an extensive network of roads spanned the Mediterranean area, bustling with vehicles, much like today, with Cappadocia in Turkey being one of those ancient hubs.

He further mentioned that fossilized tire tracks have been located not only in Turkey but also in Spain, Malta, Italy, Kazakhstan, France, and even North America. Dr. Koltypin believes these are remnants of a long-forgotten prehistoric civilization.

He remarked, “I will always remember that many inhabitants of our planet have been erased from our history.”

The most concentrated area of tire track remnants is in Sofca, Turkey, where they span a region approximately 45 miles long and 10 miles wide (about 75 kilometers by 15 kilometers). Another significant site is Cappadocia, featuring several discovery locations, the largest of which measures 25 miles long and 15 miles wide.

Koltypin's observations on how natural phenomena impact geological structures have allowed him to conclude that these tracks and roads date back to a time before significant disasters occurred. The presence of thick mineral layers over the tracks and signs of erosion also suggest their great age. Furthermore, natural upheavals such as tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, great floods, and tectonic disturbances have largely erased the traces of this advanced prehistoric civilization.

He proposes that these remnants are from a single civilization widely spread during a distant prehistoric era.

Koltypin also pointed out that people now recognize that fossilization can happen within hundreds of years or even months, so it is not the fossilization alone that signals their age, but other geological evidence indicating they belong to the Miocene epoch, tens of millions of years ago. Nearby underground cities, irrigation systems, wells, and other structures also appear to be tens of millions of years old.

Finally, Koltypin seeks to address the question: “What civilization left these tire tracks 10 million years ago? Without the exceptional research of many archaeologists, geologists, and folklore experts, answering this question is unlikely.”
