In the world, there exist both good and evil people. When interacting with others, you'll encounter three types of beneficial friends: those who are honest, understanding, and knowledgeable. Conversely, there are also three types of harmful friends: those who are deceitful, overly agreeable, and flattering. A gentleman's greatest virtue is kindness to others. However, if we are blindly kind, it becomes foolish kindness; we must exercise wise kindness. "To calculate every mistake with care, and to reflect on every matter with caution" suggests that human hearts can be treacherous, so we must remain cautious. Teacher Liu Heng advises that when dealing with petty individuals, we should either adhere to our principles or maintain our distance. This aligns with Confucius's teaching of "repaying virtue with virtue and repaying resentment with integrity." We should strive to be loyal, forgiving, upright, just, and respectful.

The Current State of Physical Appearance and Lack of Descendants

Note by Liu Heng: The "current state" refers to the position of the "three yin and three yang," also known as the "palace of men and women," which specifically examines the potential for descendants, commonly referred to as eye bags in popular terms. If there are net-like or grid-like patterns in the eye bags, this suggests a lack of offspring, a physiognomic trait. "The face is slightly dusty, and the body lacks luster," points to an issue with the lesser yang gallbladder meridian. A "dark" or gray, dull complexion may indicate problems with the stomach and kidneys, which can lead to infertility and a lack of descendants.

Swollen Eyelids and Signs of Infidelity

Note by Liu Heng: Swollen eyelids, resembling bulging goldfish eyes, indicate an excess of liver qi. The upper and lower eye bags are associated with the spleen and stomach, representing kinship; the upper eyelid is linked to the palace of property, while the lower eye bag pertains to the palace of descendants. Individuals with bulging eyes often find themselves disconnected from relatives.

Slow Vision and Red, Aggressive Temperament

Note by Liu Heng: People with slow, wandering eyes tend to have a sluggish personality; if their eyes exhibit red veins and fleshy growths, it suggests a person with a violent and aggressive nature, inclined towards cruelty and lacking compassion.

Eyes Resembling Pigs, Sheep, Mice, and Geese: A Greedy and Unfortunate Nature

Note by Liu Heng: Eyes similar to pig eyes suggest a greedy nature; sheep-like eyes imply cruelty and indifference; mouse-like eyes denote stinginess and baseness; goose eyes suggest selfishness and cunning behavior. All these traits point to a greedy disposition, potentially leading to early death or serious illness.

Eyes Resembling Chickens, Monkeys, Bees, and Crickets: Lewd and Deceitful, Leading to Poverty
