Facial Feature Analysis: What Are Straight Eyebrows?

In physiognomy, eyebrows are known as the "longevity officer," said to reflect a person’s character, fortune, and lifespan. Their shape and direction are believed to reveal one’s personality, emotions, and destiny. The eyebrow type one has is thought to mirror character and, in turn, fate. Here’s what straight eyebrows signify.
1. Characteristics of Straight Eyebrows
The hallmark of straight eyebrows is their resemblance to the Chinese character "一" (one): clean, level lines with fine, distinct hairs and tails that extend beyond the outer corners of the eyes. In other words, each brow forms a neat horizontal stroke, with clearly visible hairs and long tails that reach past the eyes, almost as if lightly covering them.
2. Personality Traits of Straight Eyebrows
A traditional verse says: "With even, veil-like ends, wealth and honor are praised; success and fame arrive early; couples with matching brows grow old together." People with straight eyebrows tend to be strong-willed and stubborn, decisive, and action-oriented, but they may come across as cool and less empathetic. Women with this brow shape often have a commanding, somewhat masculine presence and may attract romantic attention easily.
Straight eyebrows can be further divided into two types: fine straight eyebrows and thick straight eyebrows. Those with fine straight eyebrows are intelligent and astute but can be headstrong and impatient in their pursuits. They may also have a crafty side, making them prone to becoming clever criminals. By contrast, those with thick straight eyebrows are courageous, strong-willed, and decisive, often speaking in a stern tone—traits that suit roles such as judges or lawyers.
