Differences Between Dragon and Phoenix Eyes versus Yin-Yang Eyes

Dragon and phoenix eyes, as well as yin-yang eyes, both describe a condition where one eye is larger than the other. However, while "dragon and phoenix eyes" has a more positive connotation, "yin-yang eyes" does not. Do these terms mean the same thing in physiognomy? Do they indicate different fortunes? The Book of Changes states: single eyelids are considered yin; double eyelids are considered yang. Therefore, having one single eyelid and one double eyelid can also be termed as yin-yang eyes. This eye configuration comes in two variations: left eye single, right eye double, and vice versa. Both types exhibit strong yin and yang energies, with minimal differences between them.

According to the theory linking yin and yang to the left and right brain, the former configuration has a dominant yin energy, governed by the left brain, while the latter has a dominant yang energy, influenced by the right brain.

2. Variations in Eye Colors

Yin-yang eyes are characterized by one large eye and one small eye, with a bright gaze, a tendency to look sideways, and frequent tearing. This type is often associated with deceit and insincerity. This is why they are sometimes called "eyes of the living dead."

Conversely, individuals with dragon and phoenix eyes are considered destined for wealth and prosperity, a sign of an especially favorable physiognomy.

3. Dragon and Phoenix Eyes Are Gentle and Affectionate

Although initially appearing aloof, those with dragon and phoenix eyes are generous and tender when they truly care for someone. However, this eye shape may also suggest a more open attitude toward relationships, indicating that their gentleness might not be reserved for just one partner.
