In the previous issue, we explored "Three Courts in Balance, a Lifetime of Wealth and Prosperity," focusing particularly on the significance of the upper court in contemporary society. In this edition, we'll continue with "Five Peaks Facing the Center, Wealth and Prosperity in This Life." The five peaks are represented by the forehead, chin, two cheekbones, and the nose at the center. These regions comprise the five peaks, and "facing the center" implies that the cheekbones, forehead, and chin should be in harmony with the nose.

"Five Peaks Facing the Center, Wealth and Prosperity in This Life"

The term "facing" in this context is crucial. What does it face? It faces the central peak. Among the five peaks, the central peak is the most revered, signifying that the cheekbones, forehead, and chin should align with and respect the nose. How can we assess if they are "facing the center"? This requires distinct features. For instance, the forehead should be smooth and rounded, the chin should be full, and both cheekbones should be prominent, all converging towards the central peak. Naturally, the central peak, which is the nose, should stand out, indicating that the nose should have a commanding presence.

The Central Peak Must Be Prominent

The central peak refers to the nose. What makes a nose strong? It should have a straight bridge, a fleshy tip, and full nostrils. Individuals with a strong nose often display a strong sense of self-esteem, are less willing to cater to others, and typically have high ambitions and strong execution skills. Conversely, if the nose is sunken, it suggests that a person’s aspirations are low, they may be timid, easily overpowered, and their fortunes might face challenges.

Cheekbones Should Not Overpower the Nose

It's crucial that the central peak dominate the five peaks. Thus, the cheekbones should rise to support the nose; however, if the nose is weak while the cheekbones are strong, it signifies a lack of balance, akin to usurpation. Therefore, although cheekbones should be prominent, they must not exceed the height of the nose. This means the cheekbones and nose should be well-aligned, but the cheekbones should not overshadow the nose.

Forehead Connected to the Nose

Previously, we discussed the harmony between the east and west peaks. Now, let's address the north and south peaks. The north and south peaks should align with the central peak through the area between the eyebrows and the philtrum. If the forehead is prominent but the area between the eyebrows and the root of the nose is not, the connection between the nose and forehead breaks, resulting in disrupted fortunes. This can lead to many obstacles early in life, family separations, and limited ancestral support, necessitating reliance solely on hard work to achieve success. If the area between the eyebrows and the root of the nose is prominent, it suggests support from benefactors and family protection, coupled with personal effort, facilitating a smoother path to success with fewer hurdles.

Nose Connected to the Chin

The connection between the nose and chin is maintained through the philtrum. The philtrum should be wide, deep, long, and distinct to ensure this connection. If the philtrum is shallow and the nasolabial folds do not become prominent after age 50, it signifies a disconnection between the chin and the nose. However, if the philtrum is deep and wide, and the nasolabial folds are well-defined, it indicates a strong connection between the nose and chin, suggesting elevated social status. When the nose and chin are disconnected, even with a well-formed chin, challenges in later life may ensue, leading to a decline in status.

Finally, a discussion on the nose as the central peak: if only the central peak is prominent while the other areas are sunken, it implies a solitary life, with a personality that is introverted and hard to connect with. If the nose is too sunken, it suggests weakness, low self-esteem, and a pessimistic outlook, all of which can result in a life filled with struggles and difficulties in achieving success.
