A well-shaped ear, regardless of size, should have clear contours, be preferably light in color, lie close to the head, be paired with high eyebrows, have thick, firm rims, and feature large, drooping lobes. It is considered unfavorable for the ears to be dirty, irregularly shaped, sharply pointed, or thin-rimmed. Let’s look at what “mouse ears” signify in physiognomy.
1. Characteristics of Mouse Ears
Mouse ears are very small and slanted, set higher than the eyes, with tight rims and thin roots, and they lack drooping lobes.
2. Mouse Ears Indicate Misfortune
According to physiognomy texts: “Mouse ears sit high with pointed roots; even if they are above the eyes, they do not indicate wisdom. Those with mouse ears are like thieves and will ultimately face ruin.” Mouse ears are considered an unfavorable ear shape, indicating poverty and decline. Individuals with mouse ears are said to be narrow-minded, of poor character, and not upright in their intentions. They may have weak health in childhood and be without their parents in youth. Although they may be good at saving, they are often suspicious and focused on small gains, making it difficult for them to achieve great things. If their facial features are also misaligned, they may be prone to criminal behavior and legal troubles. Even with clear eyebrows and bright eyes, they are believed to face a shortened lifespan. Those with high-set ears are not deemed wise and are often said to have a tendency toward theft.
