Palm Reading: When Will You Get Married?

When will I get married? It’s a question many single people care about. According to facial features, as long as you don’t have the so‑called “lonely god” face (believed to signify isolation and late marriage), you’re likely to marry when favorable periods in your life coincide.

There are several ways to estimate marriage timing in palmistry, and the easiest is reading the marriage line (as shown in the left image). Divide the area from the heart line to the base of the little finger into four equal parts to gauge timing by age. In palmistry, age is usually counted in whole years, and a clear marriage line suggests an opportunity to marry. That said, this age mapping isn’t fixed and can shift over time; ideas about a suitable marriage age differ between agrarian societies and modern industrial or commercial ones. Simply put, a line closer to the heart line points to earlier marriage; closer to the base of the little finger suggests later marriage; in the middle indicates marrying around thirty.

A prominent, straight marriage line indicates a good marital relationship. Sometimes two lines of similar length appear. This doesn’t necessarily mean two marriages; pay attention to the distance between them.

If the two lines are spaced about four to five centimeters apart (as shown in image A), it points to a harmonious marriage. During married life, there may be periods of living apart due to work or overseas travel, leading to less time together, but when you reunite, your bond may feel even sweeter. Two equal-length lines can also suggest a relationship with someone from a different place, indicating your spouse’s birthplace differs from your own.

If the two marriage lines are very close, only one to two centimeters apart (as shown in image B), it suggests a love triangle or an extramarital affair. If the upper line is thicker and deeper while the lower line is thinner and shallower, it points to a love triangle before marriage. Conversely, if the lower line is thicker and deeper, it suggests an affair after marriage. In either case, those involved may feel emotionally and physically drained—like the filling of a sandwich cookie caught in the middle.
