Reading Your Fortune from Your Wrist Lines

The wrist lines sit where the palm meets the wrist. In palmistry, they’re also called the arterial lines or the “hand-neck” lines. Most people have two wrist lines: the first is said to reflect physical health, while the second is associated with wealth and male offspring. Those with three wrist lines are considered intelligent and likely to become standouts in their professions.
The quality of the wrist lines is said to relate closely to what you inherit from your parents. Your luck, wealth, health, and even future fertility are thought to be reflected in the shape of these lines. Because everyone’s wrist lines differ, people face different challenges and turns in life, leading to very different fortunes. Some enjoy prosperity while others struggle; some may become rich overnight, while others see rewards only through hard work.
I. Number of Wrist Lines
Most people have at least two or three wrist lines. According to traditional palmistry, having one or two lines indicates success early or late in life, while having three or more suggests prominence in scholarly or literary pursuits. The lines must be complete—broken lines don’t count. Many modern readings hold that having three or more clear, continuous wrist lines points to health, wealth, and longevity, often called the three blessings.
If the wrist lines are incomplete or broken, it signals a life of hard work and loneliness in old age. Having two complete wrist lines suggests a higher likelihood of being a salaried employee, with life more governed by fate and harder to steer; even if wealth is achieved, it may not last. Those with three or four complete wrist lines are often well-read and knowledgeable, typically enjoying status and a good reputation in society.
The third and fourth wrist lines tend to form later in life. By guiding your mindset and behavior in a positive direction, the wrist lines may gradually show favorable changes.
II. Shape of the Wrist Lines
Deep, clear, uninterrupted wrist lines generally indicate vitality and good health. If the lines are broken or missing, or show island patterns or intersecting horizontal lines, it suggests low energy and weaker health, with frequent minor illnesses.
If the first wrist line is chain-like while the other two are strong, it suggests a less optimistic youth and years of hard work that ultimately lead to success. If the chain pattern appears only near the pinky side, many challenges must be overcome before rewards arrive, but life improves after about age 40, becoming more stable and comfortable. The shorter the chain segment, the sooner good fortune arrives.
If many straight strokes appear on the wrist line, it indicates the person will gain fame and status and enjoy a notable reputation. However, if those strokes are crooked or chaotic, recognition may still come, but likely through improper means.

III. Auxiliary Lines on the Wrist Lines
- Cross Lines: If the first wrist line has a cross line, it suggests a difficult early life, but through steady effort, midlife and later years become smoother, bringing major success in one’s career and significant gains in wealth and health. If the career and sun lines are also clear, the likelihood is as high as 80-90%.
- Star Lines: If the first wrist line has clear star markings and the first and second wrist lines are distinct, it points to excellent financial luck, timely help from others, and chances for windfalls. If there is also a simian line, the likelihood is even higher.
- Yasha Lines: If the first wrist line has a yasha line (y), a type of chaotic mark similar to a cross, it’s considered inauspicious, suggesting that despite a busy life, the person may struggle to achieve strong results in their career.
- Triangle Lines: If a triangular mark appears in the center of the wrist line, it indicates inherited wealth or a prestigious position. If the wrist line forms a triangular enclosure with the career line and other lines, resembling a pyramid, it suggests exceptional talent and intelligence along with special opportunities for significant wealth.
- Island Lines: If all three wrist lines show island patterns, it indicates indulgence or obsession that undermines health. Men may be prone to kidney issues, while women may face risks during childbirth or suffer from heart and lung problems. If the first wrist line has an island while the second and third are clear and deep, it suggests that excessive desires in youth harmed health, but luck begins to improve after middle age.
IV. Wrist Lines and Health and Fertility
If the muscle tissue near the wrist lines is thick and springy and the skin is smooth, it suggests a healthy nervous system, intelligence, organization, and abundant vitality—which can come with stronger desires. Conversely, rough skin and flabby muscles point to weaker health. Additionally, if the wrist lines show the following patterns, they may indicate poorer health—especially involving the reproductive system—which could lead to fertility issues.
- If the first wrist line is arched, regardless of gender, it often points to reproductive system problems and potential fertility or miscarriage issues. Women with an arched first wrist line may find it difficult to conceive, and even if they do, miscarriages or complications are more likely. If the second and third wrist lines are hidden, the likelihood increases.
- A chain-like first wrist line signals poor gastrointestinal health. If the second and third wrist lines are also absent, it indicates further weakness and a life of hard work with little reward.
- If the first wrist line curves into the palm, it negatively affects reproduction, indicating poorer reproductive health for both genders and potential issues for offspring. Women should be cautious about miscarriages, while men may face infertility.
- If the wrist line is located at the base of the palm: women with this line may experience gynecological issues, need to be cautious about excessive bleeding during childbirth, and may face risks of miscarriage or stillbirth; men may have low sperm count and difficulty conceiving.
- If the wrist lines are broken, women may have ovarian issues that require treatment, and pregnancy may lead to miscarriage; men may experience low energy and should avoid cold foods. If the wrist lines are unclear, it may indicate a persistent cough that’s hard to heal.
- If the wrist lines intersect at the wrist artery, women may face menstrual issues and difficulties conceiving, with a higher risk of miscarriage. Men may experience kidney problems, low energy, and weakness in the joints and spine, requiring attention to rest and health, with a higher likelihood of arthritis.
