The "Wealth Mole": A Sign of Prosperity

Someone online shared an article with me about moles—specifically ten so-called lucky moles—and asked whether it was true. I can only say that few people today seriously study physiognomy, while many are drawn to the mystical arts.

In physiognomy, moles carry meaning. There was a time when itinerant fortune-tellers treated them as a major factor in a person’s destiny, since babies are born without moles and acquire them later. As a rule, the fewer moles on the face the better; none is best. But assuming a mole will automatically improve one’s lot is just wishful thinking.

We find that moles tend to appear more often before puberty and again in early middle age. Broadly speaking, there are three kinds: those that signal setbacks from poor choices or direction, called “bad moles”; those that point to gains from good choices or direction, called “noble moles”; and those that simply reflect personality traits, which are neither inherently good nor bad.

1. Moles Above the Eyebrow

In particular, a mole directly above the tail end of the eyebrow is considered a “wealth mole.” In general, a mole above the eyebrow is better than one below it. I have a friend with a small nose and sparse eyebrows—features that don’t suggest wealth—but he has a mole above his eyebrow. He married a woman who isn’t especially striking but is highly capable. During the years he became successful, her support was clear, freeing him to pursue his endeavors. This is a case where the right choice created opportunities for growth.

2. Moles on the Chin

The chin area is associated with property and wealth. As long as the mole is not at the corner of the mouth but sits closer to the center of the chin, it’s considered a sign of strong fortune, and the family’s enterprise will thrive. If someone has such a mole but has not yet become wealthy, the appearance of three or more hairs growing from it is said to signal that wealth will soon accumulate.

3. Moles on the Top of the Foot

Many people like to study moles on the soles of their feet, but they often overlook moles on the top. A prominent mole in the center of the foot is seen as a sign of wealth, which may come from marrying into a good family or following a capable boss.

As for moles in other areas: some articles claim that a mole on the nose indicates wealth. Aside from the rare case of a red mole on the nose coinciding with sudden gains, I see all moles on such a critical feature as the nose as obstacles to prosperity. There are also claims that moles on the cheekbones signify power, but I’m not convinced. Moles on the cheekbones often reflect vanity or craftiness; I have never seen anyone truly in power with a mole there. Fundamentally, prominent cheekbones signify power, and a mole on them often hints at eventual downfall.

Learning to apply physiognomy, including any form of fate analysis, begins with understanding the principles and only then the techniques.
