Your Inner Self Shapes Your Destiny

It's often said that a person's appearance reflects their inner character. Physiognomy serves as a mirror to one's inner self: a kind-hearted individual often features a gentle appearance that commands respect and admiration. On the contrary, someone who is petty and harsh might naturally display an appearance that makes others uncomfortable.
There's a saying that a girl can change significantly by the age of eighteen, and a person's character evolves similarly. A newborn, capable only of crying, eventually grows into a running, jumping child, and then into an adult member of society. From chaotic beginnings, their thoughts, language, and behaviors mature into coherence. Over twenty years, a person develops from infancy to adulthood, gradually shaping both character and appearance; however, the true molding of one's appearance has only just begun at this stage.
Our genetics provide our innate looks, whether beautiful or otherwise, which we cannot alter. However, our acquired appearance is something we influence. As we age, our faces undergo subtle changes; one day, we might look in the mirror and suddenly notice crow's feet at the corners of our eyes or frown lines on our foreheads. Some people's appearances improve over time, while others may deteriorate. As the years go by, our appearance changes, reflecting the evolution of our inner selves.
Take a moment to sit quietly on your balcony and gaze at the flowers you've nurtured, doing nothing but observing. Reflect deeply and ask yourself: Are you still the person you once were? Are you still the adventurous youth you remember? Have your original dreams been realized? Are you still pursuing them? Is your heart still kind? Holding onto one's original intentions is a challenging task. When our heart changes, our appearance naturally changes as well.
A person's face tells the story of their past, serving as a record of their life. A skilled physiognomist can deduce insights about your history from just a glance. Different experiences mold different individuals; every moment of joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness leaves subtle traces on our faces, and over time, our appearance inevitably shifts. Even if you're not trained in physiognomy, careful observation can reveal these nuances.
When an old friend you haven't seen in a long while comes to visit, you might perceive them as a different person after a few years. Don't be surprised; this reflects the life experiences they've had during that time, offering a window into their inner world. If a person's life is free of worry and their work is going well, their appearance often improves. Conversely, if someone struggles with life's pressures and work stress, their appearance might deteriorate. They are indeed different from who they were before, both in appearance and spirit.
Can appearance determine fate? Appearance reflects character, and character shapes destiny. An improved appearance can lead to a better fate, and a better fate can further enhance one's appearance—creating a positive cycle. Conversely, a negative cycle might occur. However, appearance is not fixed; in fact, it's within your control, and you hold the power to shape your destiny—though many people are unaware of this potential.
Life is a journey of self-cultivation, and the time we have left is limited, so let's cherish it well.
