People with Longer Face Shapes Are the Most Likely to Be Scammed
Do you often find yourself being deceived or taken in? This isn’t just about personality; it also reflects how well you can tell right from wrong in everyday life. Many people have been fooled—some have stories they remember for decades. Whether it’s a one-of-a-kind con or a common scam, no one wants to go through it firsthand, and most would rather steer clear altogether.
Even if you insist it couldn’t happen to you, scammers don’t care—they look for easy targets. That can include older adults who may be less plugged in, children who are still naive, young people driven by certain desires, and middle-aged people swayed by loyalty or bravado. Your environment may be saturated with deception: false messages on your phone, online scams, misleading ads on TV, and tricks on the street. Can you tell them apart? With so many tactics and so much plausible-sounding content, how confident are you in your ability to spot the truth?
If you struggle to recognize a scam when you see one, take time to understand yourself clearly. That way, when similar situations arise, you can shut them down early and avoid harm to yourself and others. Below, Teacher Hongxiang shares which types of facial features are said to be more susceptible to deception.
1. Wide Yintang (the space between the eyebrows)
People with a wide Yintang tend to be open-minded and somewhat carefree. They don’t sweat the small stuff and aren’t easily bothered by losses. But excessive optimism can make them lax in their actions and less critical in their thinking, so they may miss key details. According to Teacher Hongxiang, this makes them more likely to be deceived. By contrast, those with a prominent forehead may be more vigilant, better at spotting red flags, and therefore less susceptible to scams.
2. Large, double-lidded eyes
People with double eyelids tend to be warm and emotionally expressive, which can make them easier to sway. They may struggle to rein in their feelings for what they want, weakening rational judgment. Those with large eyes are often straightforward and curious, inclined to trust others and thus easier to deceive. They may dive in without examining what’s really going on, which can lead to serious consequences. However, those with high cheekbones or thin lips may have a more guarded side, making them harder for scammers to exploit.
3. Unpronounced cheekbones and 八字眉 (downward-slanting '八'-shaped eyebrows)
People whose cheekbones are not prominent tend to be less curious and less inclined to dig into details. They often take things at face value, and may accept false information as true. Teacher Hongxiang notes that those with 八字眉 are often stubborn; once they adopt a mistaken viewpoint, they may cling to it for a long time. Such individuals may even unwittingly help scammers, acting as loyal volunteers without realizing it.
4. Full nose tip
Those with a full nose tip often encounter many opportunities and are more inclined to take risks. If they also have a round face with less prominent bone structure, they tend to be easygoing and accepting. Teacher Hongxiang notes that they may buy into scams they feel confident about and brush off questionable ones with a smile, without thinking to warn others. If their cheeks are not prominent, they may be more easily deceived; if their cheeks are prominent, they tend to be more alert afterward, warn themselves and others to stay cautious, and may even seek to get back at those who deceived them.
5. Thick lower lip
People with thick lower lips are more emotional and easily moved, and they may act impulsively. When emotions run high, they can make decisions they later regret. If the forehead is not broad or the brow ridge is not prominent, it becomes harder for them to avoid being deceived in advance.
6. Asymmetrical ears
People whose ears differ markedly from each other—whether due to irregularities or outward-turned contours—tend to be persistent yet lack self-confidence. That lack of confidence can harden into compulsive stubbornness, making compromise difficult. They may hold onto minor grievances, react extremely, and feel inwardly unsettled. They often seek out risk and are more likely to be gullible, slipping into a self-righteousness that is hard to change.
