Facial Analysis: When Will Your Luck Turn?
When consulting BaZi or Feng Shui, people—regardless of gender—come with different situations, mindsets, and goals. Yet one thing is universally true: everyone asks, When will my good luck arrive? When will I have a chance to make money? When will I have good fortune in marriage? When will there be opportunities for promotion and a raise? And so on. After all, who doesn’t hope for good luck in life so things go smoothly and happily?
Experience tells us that before something bad happens, there are often signs: for example, a twitching eye; a family member having a nightmare before an accident; or dropping your toothbrush on the floor in the morning. Are these signs 100% accurate? No—nothing in this world is guaranteed. Still, they’re quite reliable, distilled from many people’s life experiences. If there can be signs before misfortune, are there also signs before good luck arrives? Experience says yes. From a physiognomy perspective, the following changes often indicate that your good luck is near—or has already arrived.
1. Hair suddenly turns darker and shinier
Never underestimate the importance of hair. If you’ve read my earlier articles, you know that in physiognomy, changes in hair are often the fastest, clearest, and most telling indicators. If your hair suddenly becomes darker and shinier, it suggests your vitality has shifted from weak to strong; in traditional Chinese medicine terms, your qi and blood are abundant. With sufficient qi and blood, your spirit will be strong. That’s why I often emphasize: good spirit leads to good luck. You’ll find that people who are wealthy or fortunate tend to look radiant and full of life, never dull or lifeless. If, over the past year or so, your hair has noticeably become darker and shinier, it points to good things on the way.
2. Eyes become brighter and more spirited
Some may wonder if this is subjective—perhaps you see brightness in your eyes, but others don’t. There is a standard: clear contrast between the whites and the irises, and a lively, focused expression. This signals strong energy and vitality. When your energy is good, you see and handle things clearly, and your thoughts are organized. So if your eyes have gone from dull to bright—and this isn’t due to artificial enhancement—it indicates that good luck is approaching.
3. Nostrils suddenly thicken
Some may be surprised and ask, aren’t nostrils fixed? How can they change? They can. Facial features do change over time—that’s a fact. Sometimes the shifts are so subtle they go unnoticed. Some people have ordinary noses when they’re broke, but once they become prosperous, their noses look straighter; some even show noticeably thicker nostrils. This phenomenon suggests that a person is about to enter a period of abundant wealth. It may also indicate marrying a capable partner.
4. Ears
When good luck is on the way, the ears can change as well. Ears are generally connected to the kidneys; when luck is poor, the ears often appear dull or yellowish, indicating low energy and a tendency to tire easily. When good luck arrives, the ears become red or rosy. This shows the person is enjoying favorable fortune. Things go more smoothly, and energy feels boundless—even with only a few hours of sleep, they can still feel refreshed.
5. Nails
When luck is poor, many people’s nails look pale; I once saw someone whose nails were almost snow-white, with hardly any color. His energy was indeed lacking. Climbing a mountain, he had far less stamina than women of the same age, and it was clear his luck wasn’t great either. If nails like that suddenly become rosy and healthy in a certain year, it also indicates that good luck is on the way.
In the end, it all comes down to vitality. With ample vitality, your spirit is strong; with a strong spirit, good luck follows. This is a solid truth. So if I can’t immediately answer whether you’ll have good luck, first check whether there have been noticeable changes in these areas over the past year or so. If there have, congratulations! You can be confident that good fortune is on the horizon and many happy events are waiting for you. Keep working hard—especially if you feel your luck hasn’t been great; the more you feel that way, the more it suggests your good luck is near, and one thing is certain: it’s on its way!
