Lecture 16: The Three Oddities and Their Responses

1. Qian Palace

• When Six Yi enters Qian, it is called "Jade Rabbit Enters the Heavenly Gate," and is auspicious.
• When Six Bing enters Qian, it is called "Heaven Gains Heavenly Authority," and is inauspicious.
• When Six Ding enters Qian, it is called "Fire Reaches the Heavenly Gate," and is auspicious.

2. Kan Palace

• When Six Yi enters Kan, it is called "Jade Rabbit Dives into the Spring," and is auspicious.
• When Six Bing enters Kan, it is called "Bing Fire Burns Ren," which is auspicious and signifies victory.
• When Six Ding enters Kan, it is called "Vermilion Bird Dives into the River," and is auspicious.

3. Gen Palace

• When Six Yi enters Gen, it is called "Jade Rabbit Steps into the Noble Palace," and is auspicious.
• When Six Bing enters Gen, it is called "Phoenix Enters the Dan Mountain," and is auspicious.
• When Six Ding enters Gen, it is called "Jade Maiden Rides the Clouds," and is auspicious.

4. Zhen Palace

• When Six Yi enters Zhen, it is called "Sun Rises in Fusang," and is auspicious.
• When Six Bing enters Zhen, it is called "Moon Enters the Thunder Gate," and is auspicious.
• When Six Ding enters Zhen, it is called "The Brightest," and is auspicious.

5. Xun Palace

• When Six Yi enters Xun, it is called "Jade Rabbit Rides the Wind," and is auspicious.
• When Six Bing enters Xun, it is called "Fire Rises with the Wind," also interpreted as "Divine Dragon Assists," and is auspicious.
• When Six Ding enters Xun, it is called "Beautiful Woman Remains Alert," and is auspicious.

6. Li Palace

• When Six Yi enters Li, it is called "Jade Rabbit Faces the Sun," and is auspicious.
• When Six Bing enters Li, it is called "Moon Illuminates the Front Gate," and is auspicious.
• When Six Ding enters Li, it is called "Riding the Dragon for Thousands of Miles," and is auspicious.

7. Kun Palace

• When Six Yi enters Kun, it is called "Jade Rabbit Enters Kun," and is auspicious.
• When Six Bing enters Kun, it is called "Child Resides in Mother's Home," and is auspicious.
• When Six Ding enters Kun, it is called "Jade Maiden Roams the Earth," and is auspicious.

8. Dui Palace

• When Six Yi enters Dui, it is called "Jade Maiden is Restricted," and is neutral.
• When Six Bing enters Dui, it is called "Phoenix Breaks Its Wings," and is inauspicious.
• When Six Ding enters Dui, it is considered neutral.
