Beware of Negative Energy in Your Palm Lines

In palmistry, there is a mark known as the Obstacle Line (as shown above) that nearly everyone has to some degree; it’s rare for it to be entirely absent.
In general, women’s palms tend to show more intricate lines than men’s, so women are more likely to display Obstacle Lines. An Obstacle Line crosses over one of the major lines, disrupting its flow. When it cuts through a main line, it weakens that line’s influence, which is said to invite negative energy and bring notable resistance or difficulties during certain periods.
People with pronounced Obstacle Lines may be more easily swayed by others or by their surroundings, leading to frequent hurdles in their pursuits. These challenges are closely tied to the Obstacle Line and related influence lines described above.
Backstabber Line
The Mount of Mars is associated with conflict. A horizontal line in this area signals heightened disputes and the likelihood of encountering saboteurs or “backstabbers,” hence the name Backstabber Line. A deep line suggests a stronger inclination toward conflict. If the Backstabber Line curves upward, it points to heightened emotionality that can strain relationships; if it curves downward, it suggests arguments driven by self-interest.
If the Backstabber Line is present from birth, it points to ongoing conflicts and backstabbing before age thirty. If it appears later, it indicates rising conflict after thirty. When both the natal and later-formed lines show a Backstabber Line, it suggests a lifetime of recurring disputes and undermining, so it’s wise to be cautious in dealings with others to avoid unnecessary trouble linked to negative energy.
Indulgence Line
The Indulgence Line—also called the Line of Excess or the Travel Line—typically begins on the Mount of Luna, arcs across the Life Line, and reaches the Mount of Venus, or it may run directly from the Mount of Luna to the Mount of Mercury. When this line appears, it suggests a lively spirit and an appetite for pleasure; for some, it can also point to tendencies toward unhealthy habits. People prone to self-indulgence often show this line. More specifically, the Indulgence Line can appear in five common patterns:
1. A long Indulgence Line that runs alongside the Health Line, like a sister line 
This pattern indicates robust health, vitality, and a happy marriage or love life. If this line reaches the Mount of Mercury, it suggests the person is not only energetic but also quick-minded, able to juggle multiple roles and manage various ventures at once.
2. An Indulgence Line arcing from the Mount of Luna to the Mount of Venus (without touching the Life Line) 
This suggests overindulgence and poor self-control, which can drain energy and weaken the body.
3. An Indulgence Line starting on the Mount of Luna that crosses the Heart Line 
This points to potential crises sparked by romantic idealization. If the palms are also soft and thick, the tendency may be stronger, and the person may be more susceptible to unhealthy habits such as substance abuse or heavy drinking.
4. A straight Indulgence Line that crosses the Life Line 
This suggests habits such as smoking, drinking, or other indulgences used to temporarily numb the nerves.
5. A very deep Indulgence Line combined with a fine, shallow Head Line that shows island patterns and droops toward the Mount of Luna
This pattern suggests a less resolute temperament and greater susceptibility to harmful habits, leading to self-sabotage and declining health that can seriously affect one’s career and life.
If someone has an Indulgence Line yet lives with discipline, it’s often thanks to good upbringing and sound judgment—signaled by features like a strong, straight thumb or a deep, clear Wisdom Line. Even so, the Indulgence Line reflects ingrained desires, so it’s important to channel them in healthy ways to maintain psychological balance.
