Why is Having a Mole in the Center of the Forehead Unfavorable for Civil Servants?

Once, while conducting a feng shui assessment at a client's home, I noticed a prominent mole in the center of the client's forehead. In Hong Kong, raised pigmented skin growths are commonly referred to as "moles," while flat pigmented spots are called "birthmarks." However, some people reverse these terms, calling raised spots "birthmarks" and flat ones "moles." In truth, "mole" covers both "raised mole" and "flat birthmark."

During the feng shui consultation, I may have spent a bit too long staring at that mole. The client, who was sensitive about it, asked me, "Master Bai, is the mole on my forehead a bad omen?"

The client's question ties into physiognomy and fortune, and indeed, this mole carries certain indications. So I answered directly, "The mole is positioned in the area associated with career and authority, which might pose challenges if you're aiming to become a civil servant. In such a career path, you may need to exert significantly more effort than others to advance, possibly leading to working harder with fewer rewards."

Upon hearing this, the client sighed with relief, saying, "Thankfully, I'm not a civil servant." I smiled and added, "Nonetheless, continue being mindful in your career!" The client looked at me with curiosity and asked, "Master, what should I be particularly cautious about?"

I explained through the lens of physiognomy: "Individuals with this type of mole often possess a subjective perspective and a degree of arrogance. If you have a capable and talented boss, there will likely be no issues. However, if your boss lacks competence, you might find yourself looking down on them and failing to show proper respect at work, which could negatively affect your career trajectory."

The client sighed again, saying, "I've been advised by some colleagues to be more humble and show respect toward my boss, rather than assuming my abilities overshadow theirs. Expecting the boss to accommodate me could result in negative feelings and impact my career. I didn't anticipate you pointing this out, Master. It seems I need to make some adjustments."

I smiled and said, "Following your heart can bring personal satisfaction, but your career influences your quality of life. It's important to strike a balance between the two."
