Palmistry and Face Reading: What They Reveal About a Child's Future

1. Observing Children through Facial Features
- To assess children, look at the philtrum. A deep, long philtrum suggests many children. A single line in the philtrum indicates children may be hard to come by. A flat philtrum means having children but not being close to them. A philtrum shaped like a small pit points to few children. If the philtrum is as small as a bean, there may be no more than two children. Seeing a daughter first is auspicious; seeing a son first suggests he may not live long. A horizontal line on the philtrum suggests loneliness even with children. Lines running from left to right indicate raising other people’s sons, while lines from right to left indicate raising other people’s daughters. A bulging philtrum suggests only daughters and no sons.
- A narrow philtrum may indicate difficulties related to children; a full but flat philtrum suggests fewer sons. A mole above the philtrum indicates a boy, while a mole below indicates a girl. A mole in the center suggests the wife may face danger during a twin pregnancy. A woman with a yellowish complexion may have a healthy pregnancy. A purplish philtrum may indicate twins. A wide upper philtrum suggests daughters, while a narrow upper and wide lower philtrum suggests many daughters and few sons. A narrow upper and lower philtrum with a wide middle points to many disabled children. A protruding philtrum suggests a hard life without children. A yellow complexion during pregnancy indicates a boy, while a red complexion indicates a girl. (Note: “Wide upper philtrum” refers to a relaxed lower section; “narrow lower philtrum” refers to a tight, deeply set lower section.)
- After examining the philtrum, look at the area below the eyes, considered the palace of children. One horizontal line indicates one child; two lines indicate a pair. Boys are on the left and girls on the right; women should be mindful of this when reading. A net-like pattern below the eyes suggests few descendants over three generations. Tear-like vertical lines indicate no children, suggesting adoption may be needed. Dark, sunken under-eyes suggest kidney deficiency and a lack of children. Dry, straw-colored ears suggest weakness and no children.
- In the life palace, observe the vertical lines related to children; the number of lines indicates the number of children. Do not count the central vertical line. Distinguish boys on the left and girls on the right.
- Examine the forehead lines for children, counting from top to bottom. A line that runs through the center indicates a boy; one that does not indicates a girl.
- Check the area above the lips for children; do not count the vertical lines at the opening.
- Straight lines on the birth-year line indicate adopted children. A woman with red eyes may harm her husband yet bear children, while a man with yellow eyes may harm his wife and children. A pronounced tear trough may harm the wife while favoring children, whereas bluish crow’s feet may harm children while sparing the wife.
- A narrow upper and wide lower philtrum suggests two or three children. A shallow, small philtrum indicates late and few descendants. A ragged philtrum suggests many children to raise. A lion-like nose points to three or four children. A prominent tear trough indicates five or six children. High cheekbones close to the eyes suggest no descendants. A woman with dark circles under her eyes may have only daughters. A man with red circles under his eyes may face future troubles. A crooked nose often brings setbacks, and biological children may not be close. An uneven hairline may harm the wife and children, while an irregular hairline may lead to loss of belongings. If a woman has this, her breasts may differ in size; one side may be larger while the other may be smaller or absent.
- A large head with small ears suggests a father who cannot manage affairs; a slanted forehead indicates one child may become a burden. A flat nose suggests a dull child. Vertical lines in the philtrum indicate no children or the recognition of adopted children as one’s own. If the philtrum is too narrow, there may be no sons throughout life. If the philtrum lacks flesh, there may be many daughters but few sons. A philtrum leaning left suggests a love of pleasure; leaning right suggests a tendency to gamble. Lines that rise indicate sons; lines that fall indicate daughters. The number of lines indicates the number of children; vertical lines on the eyebrows can also be observed.
2. Observing Children through Palmistry
- To estimate the number and order of children, refer to specific areas on the palm. At the base of the little finger, where the marriage line sits, vertical lines indicate offspring. Clear, straight lines suggest children who survive to adulthood; curved or slanted lines indicate premature death. Thick lines represent boys, thin lines represent girls. Count the number of vertical lines from the outside in. The little finger has three sections with offspring lines, also counted from the outside in. Elsewhere on the palm, the number of horizontal lines can also indicate children; thick lines represent boys, thin lines represent girls, and broken or islanded lines indicate premature death. (Note: The vertical lines on the marriage line are the primary reference. No vertical lines indicate no children or none for the time being. A Y-shaped line indicates twins; if both branches are thick, they represent boys; if thin, girls. One thick and one thin indicates a boy and a girl. Diagonal lines indicate false children. This is considered quite accurate.)
- A long, straight little finger suggests children will achieve success and support you in old age. A short, curved little finger indicates children may lack capability and provide no support. A very short little finger may point to infertility due to reproductive issues. If the little finger does not align with the ring finger, children may often work away from home. If the little finger leans toward the ring finger, the children may continue to rely on their parents as they grow. A long little finger suggests many children. A deep wrist line indicates a successful pregnancy; two lines indicate longevity, and three deep lines suggest a very long life. Curved wrist lines may indicate infertility.
