Facial Analysis: Why You May Be Experiencing Bad Luck
In the past, fate analysis often focused on when misfortune would come and go, but rarely on how it arises, what generates it, or how to prevent it.
Most people see misfortune as bad luck. In fate analysis, it is viewed as "poor conditions," meaning a weaker life force, difficult circumstances, and many obstacles. In other words, misfortune is a lack of ease, marked by frequent hindrances.
In physiognomy, poverty, stagnation, failure, and ruin are all seen as true reflections of life's misfortunes. Summarizing the patterns, the main contributing factors are as follows.
1. Physiological Issues
This includes bad habits, poor living environments, and the influence of those around you. Physiological issues are not just illness; they encompass a broader range of unfavorable conditions for living. In physiognomy, common signs include marks on the forehead, a dusty look, and a dull complexion. People with these signs are unlikely to have smooth sailing and often live in a sub-health condition.
Some may argue that improved living conditions eliminate such sub-health issues. However, even those born into wealthy families or who marry into affluent households can fall into sub-health due to indulgence and lack of self-discipline. If a person maintains vitality and a well-proportioned appearance, they may recover from this state relatively quickly. Therefore, when facing misfortune, it is essential to first examine whether physiological or environmental issues are at play.
2. Bad Habits
Bad habits can cause numerous problems—psychological, physiological, and certainly in one's fate. Many people say nothing ever goes right for them. They should not blame fate or wait for rescue, because misfortune often stems from their own long-standing bad habits. Features such as disheveled eyebrows, exposed teeth, high cheekbones, and prominent brows are not necessarily innate; many people do not show these traits while growing up, but they become more apparent after twenty as habits become ingrained.
People are often evaluated by their habits and behavior. In other words, fate analysis holds that the kind of person you are determines the fate you will have. Never doubt this: if you are kind, you will have good fortune; if you are honest, you will have noble friends; if you are brave and strong, you will achieve success; if you are petty, you will experience loneliness; if you are selfish, you will be impoverished.
3. Confused Cognition
This aspect is more complex and harder to grasp, dealing with the line between wisdom and foolishness. The wise are enlightened, and enlightenment comes from both innate qualities and acquired experience. Everyone possesses some wisdom, the purest essence of higher life. However, that wisdom is often clouded by chaos, stubbornness, desire, and emotion, which dilute it. When such impurities accumulate in the mind, foolishness results. In physiognomy, this appears as a dull expression, a flat nose, protruding lips, and low, soft ears. Ancient texts called such traits "lowly," suggesting that these individuals are destined to serve others and struggle to become accomplished or influential.
Many people spend a large part of their lives in hardship and confusion. Simply put, they fail to understand life and their future, remaining conservative and slow to change their circumstances. Numerous well-known figures, like Bruce Lee and Mr. Jin, experienced difficulties and misfortunes but ultimately overcame them. Others in similar situations did not manage to rise, which can be attributed to their fate or, more plainly, to wisdom. For instance, I recently saw a family barely coping with their own lives, yet they were considering having three or four children, looking helpless and lost. It evokes sympathy, but who can help them? They do not understand their situation, and while outsiders may assist for a time, they cannot provide lifelong support.
