Every Noble Appearance Hides a Precious Quality

For those new to fate analysis, it's common to wonder, "Why do others appear noble while I do not?" or "Why do others seem free of misfortune while I face it?" These thoughts often lead to questions like, "What did I do wrong, and what did they do right?" Such thoughts can foster feelings of injustice and resentment, making one believe that destiny is predetermined and beyond their control. They may feel trapped by their appearance or an unfavorable BaZi chart, resigning themselves to an unchangeable fate.
But is this truly the case? Indeed, one's inherent qualities can influence life. For example, some people are born into wealth and never have to strive for anything. However, life's worth isn't solely measured by wealth. Since we can't choose our birthplace, family, or the era we're born into, everyone's starting point in life is different.
However, having a different starting point doesn't mean your life is out of your hands. I've witnessed someone rise from a poor childhood, working hard in youth, and then seizing an opportunity in middle age to amass wealth rapidly. Yet, when their wealth increased, their character flaws surfaced, and when their fortunes changed, they quickly lost it all.
Objectively, life's true nobility isn't about status—it’s about possessing qualities that surpass the ordinary. With such qualities, one often succeeds in competition. Some believe that victory depends solely on ability, intelligence, or strategy, but they're mistaken; it is one's mindset that determines the outcome. The scope of one's mindset influences character, and the quality of character is the true measure of nobility and worth.
Some people remain superstitious, thinking that birth controls everything. However, only two things are set: one's inherent characteristics and the ebbs and flows of life's fortunes. What isn't predetermined is the effort you put in. While innate traits are partly given, the environment you grow up in plays a significant role, too. Yet, through experience, understanding, training, and self-discipline, individuals can refine negative traits. Although breaking through fate’s limitations is challenging, cultivating character can elevate you to the highest levels of your destiny.
Striving for a better fate and seeking good fortune while avoiding misfortune is about reaching these upper limits. However, it's important not to overreach, as excessive striving can lead to ruin. Understanding one's fate through various methods is crucial. Knowing your fate's limitations helps you identify the upper bounds to aim for, allowing you to set life goals, rectify shortcomings, perform good deeds, and cultivate positive qualities. Through these efforts, genuine progress is made.
Fate analysis doesn't imply that effort is meaningless or that ability doesn’t matter. Effort without direction is like a blind person trying to touch an elephant, and misplaced ability is like fishing for the moon in a well. This explains why many can't understand why their hard work, sacrifices, and talents don't always yield the outcomes they expect while others who are less diligent appear to succeed.
It's often hard to gauge a person's inner qualities from their appearance, but these qualities can be reflected in their features. For instance, as discussed regarding the nine grades of noble bones, each noble feature corresponds to a specific quality. If someone lacks these qualities, they aren't visible in their appearance. What you think internally manifests in your emotions, and those emotions are reflected in your facial features.
One internet user presents an overall decent appearance, but their poor nose, with a broken bridge and prominent brow bone, suggests stubbornness, a pursuit of pleasure, and a lack of initiative. Because of these traits, they may act impulsively when opportunities arise, failing to capitalize on them by assuming more chances will come. Once their luck runs out and they make poor friendship choices, their situation could worsen further.
Saying this person lacks opportunities or ability isn't accurate; it's more that they fail to recognize their issues, such as unrealistic aspirations and expecting too much with little effort, leading to failure in future competitions. Even if someone points this out, they're unlikely to believe it, making improvement difficult unless they reach desperation, which might finally bring them to reality.
