Elements of Dreaming in Dreams

Before revealing the imagery and allegories of dreams, we should pay attention to the significant visual images present in our thoughts and feelings while awake. Therefore, the first step in interpretation is to identify the main elements in the dream. Then, through dream dialogue, we can ask the dreamer questions, integrate their descriptions of the main elements, and analyze the meaning of the dream.

1. Setting

Where does the content of the dream take place? The location could be in a car, a classroom, your childhood hometown, or even in outer space or the French Alps.

2. Characters or Animals

Who appears in the dream? The so-called dream characters can include nameless beings, your past, siblings, Madonna, colleagues, a crying classmate from elementary school, a handsome man you met while traveling in Istanbul, and various animals.

3. Objects

What are the significant objects that leave an impression in the dream? Items like a handgun, an airplane, a red coat, a piano, a seesaw, keys, gold coins, etc., may convey unexpected messages.

4. Emotions

Did you experience any emotions while dreaming, such as sweet, sour, bitter, or spicy feelings? Please express your emotional reactions in words, such as: curiosity, fear, anxiety, sadness, joy, relief, etc.
