How Do Prophets Predict Future Events?

The prophet Edgar Cayce predicted the rise of Atlantis in 1940 through hypnotic visions. He claimed, “The sunken area of Atlantis is near Florida, where soon people will find temples buried in the ocean floor's sediment.” He also mentioned, “In the North Atlantic, near Bimini Island, Atlantis will resurface, and a part of it will be discovered between 1968 and 1969.” At that time, these words were met with skepticism, but by the late 1960s, the discovery of the Bimini Road substantiated his prophecy.
This excerpt is from the article “The Wealthy Empire That Disappeared Overnight” in the book "The Lost Ancient Kingdom" (published by Jilin Publishing Group Co., Ltd). This prophecy highlights an important point: the validity and scientific nature of prophecies can endure critical examination.
We've all encountered various prophecies, such as those found in "The Book of Changes" and "The Centuries." Why were prophets able to accurately foresee events long ago? Generally, “prophets” are often people with high moral standards or deep faith. For instance, the authors of "The Book of Changes," Yuan Tiangang and Li Chunfeng, were Taoist practitioners, whereas Nostradamus, who wrote "The Centuries," was a Catholic.
Speaking of Nostradamus and his prophecies, there is an intriguing story involving a lord named Floranbile. When discussing prophecies with Nostradamus, Floranbile carelessly pointed to two piglets in the yard and said, “Predict their fate and show me your prophetic skills.” Nostradamus responded instantly, “The black piglet will become your meal, while the white piglet will be eaten by a wolf.” Floranbile then ordered the white pig to be butchered for dinner. However, a small wolf owned by one of the lord's servants secretly consumed the pork. The servant had to kill the black piglet to serve at the dinner table. Floranbile proudly remarked to Nostradamus, “The white pig is already on the table!” But Nostradamus insisted, “That must be the black pig.” Unable to settle the matter, they called the servant to recount the events.
Many wonder why some individuals have the ability to foresee future events. Modern science has discovered that the universe comprises not only our known space but also other dimensions. If this holds true, individuals with strong faith or high moral integrity may, under certain conditions or extraordinary circumstances, “transcend” (access another dimension, as many dimensions in the universe correspond to our physical space) and glimpse future events. They naturally share these visions, even if the events have yet to occur in our current space, which is why they are termed “prophecies.”
Consequently, as echoed in historical prophecies, we presently stand at a threshold between old and new eras, characterized by frequent disasters. This raises the question: how can we safely traverse these challenging times? This depends on one's perspective, as different individuals might offer various insights. Nevertheless, opting for goodness over wrongdoing is undoubtedly a prudent choice.
