Auspicious Star Map Pattern: Five Stars Encircling the Big Dipper
The term "Five Stars Aligning" refers to the five planets—Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn—coming together in the constellation under Jupiter’s protection, identified as either Pisces or Sagittarius. This configuration appears in ancient Chinese astrological texts, notably the Guo Lao Xing Zong. In that work, "斗" (Dou) points to the Zi Wei Palace—the constellation ruled by Jupiter—traditionally associated with Pisces and more recently with Sagittarius. According to the Guo Lao Xing Zong, those whose charts feature this Five Stars Aligning pattern are destined for high honors—on par with ministers and prime ministers—signifying an exceptionally favorable blend of wealth and rank.
In classical astrology, Pisces is regarded as the emperors’ palace, also called the Zi Wei Palace.
