Pisces Lunar Eclipse
On September 18, 2024, at 10:34 AM Beijing time, a Full Moon in Pisces will occur, with the Sun in Virgo and the Moon in Pisces directly opposing each other at 25°40′. They will be near the "Libra South Node - Aries North Node" axis with an 11° difference, resulting in a partial lunar eclipse in Pisces.
In discussing eclipses, it's essential to mention the lunar nodes. The lunar nodes are the points where the Earth's ecliptic (the apparent path of the Sun across the sky as viewed from Earth) intersects the Moon's orbit around the Earth. These nodes are not tangible planets but are imaginary points where these two paths cross.
During a Full Moon, the Sun and Moon are positioned on opposite sides of the Earth, forming a straight line with the Earth in the center, blocking sunlight from reaching the Moon. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon moves into the Earth's shadow (astrologically, this happens when the "Sun-Moon opposition" axis is within 16°-18° of the lunar nodes).
Lunar eclipses are classified as total, partial, or penumbral based on the extent to which the Moon enters the Earth's shadow (proximity to the lunar nodes). This Pisces lunar eclipse will be partial.
In the vast universe, the alignment and movement of planets tell countless stories and carry deep meanings, with solar and lunar eclipses being among the most captivating celestial phenomena.
A lunar eclipse acts like a magnifying lens for the Full Moon, amplifying its energy several times and influencing events for up to six months. Thus, lunar eclipses are seen as a release and reorganization of cosmic energy, often accompanying significant life transitions and profound changes in one's inner world. In the 18 days before and after a lunar eclipse, people often experience intense emotional fluctuations and inner restlessness, as the universe encourages self-reflection and adjustment through the eclipse's energy.
This Pisces lunar eclipse will also facilitate a journey of self-redemption and rebirth—confronting the shadowy pains deep within and accepting the unfinished lessons of life as a means to transcend past selves.
Key Influences of the Pisces Lunar Eclipse
Considering the degrees of planetary movements during the peak influence of the new moon and the trajectories of retrograde planets: the standard allowance is 3° for personal planets in aspect and 1° out of aspect; for non-personal planets, both in and out of aspect are given 3°.
- Individuals with planets, angles, or lunar nodes in mutable signs (Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, Pisces) between 9°-30° in their natal charts.
- Individuals with planets, angles, or lunar nodes in cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) between 4°-10° and 20°-30° in their natal charts.
- Individuals with planets, angles, or lunar nodes in fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) between 0°-5° and 16°-30° in their natal charts.
Embarking on a "Journey of Redemption and Rebirth" for the Next Six Months
Celestial Events:
- Sun-Moon Interaction with Neptune: The Pisces Moon is conjunct with Neptune in Pisces, while the Virgo Sun is in opposition to Neptune in Pisces.
- Grand Kite Formation: The Virgo Sun, Uranus in Taurus, Pluto in Capricorn, and the Moon and Neptune in Pisces form a "Grand Kite" structure.
On average, there are only two eclipse seasons a year, spaced six months apart, leading to two sets of eclipses. Therefore, I am eager to craft an insightful article about this significant lunar phase occurring in Virgo month (August 23 - September 22) during the Pisces lunar eclipse! However, my thoughts and emotions seem to have drifted into an endless, vast ocean...
- Who am I? Where am I? What do I want to express?
- I have so much to say, yet it feels like tiny grains of sand stirred from the ocean floor, making them hard to grasp.
- Where will these grains of sand settle?
- I realize I'm worried they won't return to their original place, which leads me to recognize my subjective assumptions.
- Why must the grains of sand return to their original place?
- I become aware of my fears and attachments—fears that the grains won't return, fears of the unknown, fears of trouble, which are really my reluctance to confront my own incompetence, powerlessness, and helplessness. Thus, I hope the grains will return so I can avoid all changes and challenges.
In the days leading up to this Pisces lunar eclipse, some events did occur in reality, but more importantly, I experienced the consciousness process described above. This mirrors the interaction between the "Sun-Moon opposition" axis and Neptune in Pisces during this lunar eclipse.
In this Pisces lunar eclipse, the Pisces Moon (Virgo Sun) is close to the Aries North Node (Libra South Node) with an 11° difference, while the Pisces Moon and Aries North Node are separated by the sign of Pisces and Neptune.
Take Note!
- Neptune will enter Aries on March 30, 2025, then retrograde back to Pisces on October 22, 2025, and finally officially transition into Aries on January 27, 2026; the ever-retrograde lunar nodes will shift to the Pisces North Node (Virgo South Node) on January 29, 2025.
- From July 13, 2023, to January 29, 2025, the lunar nodes will clear karmic obstacles and initiate evolutionary steps, guiding us from a karmic pattern of "relying on collective perspectives and others' approval" (Libra South Node) to a new phase of "self-clarity, self-independence, and self-courage" (Aries North Node), laying a foundation for Neptune's transition from Pisces to Aries in 2025-2026.
I prefer to describe Neptune as a "spiritual channel" because this description conveys the energy flow of "ascending and descending" and allows for a deeper understanding that "transcending the small self through great love doesn't mean dissolving the self, but rather accepting the self." Therefore, Neptune's higher energy represents spirituality grounded in reality, not a weakness escaping reality.
Neptune is the ruling planet of Pisces, making the Pisces-Neptune period (2011-2025) a time of heightened Neptune energy, which can manifest in both high and low forms: high forms involve dreams becoming reality and spirituality guiding life; low forms offer detachment from reality and escapism into dreams.
Between March 30, 2025, and January 27, 2026, Neptune will provide us with the final push as it transitions into Aries, retreats to Pisces, and finally enters Aries, guiding us to escape rationalizations and burst the bubbles of our dreams.
The upcoming era of Pluto in Aquarius (2024-2043), Neptune in Aries (2026-2038), and Uranus in Gemini (2026-2032) will truly usher in an age focused on "independence and individuality," leaving no room for illusions and escapist tactics.
A lunar eclipse is essentially a doubled Full Moon "completion energy." The six months following this Pisces lunar eclipse will be crucial for self-redemption and rebirth!
Two weeks ago, in the Virgo New Moon article (click for details: Virgo New Moon), I mentioned "Taurus Uranus, Pisces Neptune, Capricorn Pluto" forming a "Little Triangle of the Three Kings." This Pisces lunar eclipse, with the "Sun-Moon interaction with Neptune" and the "Little Triangle of the Three Kings," creates a magnificent "Grand Kite" structure—three kings working together to lead this era to new heights! Importantly, we must not shy away; more importantly, even if we wish to, escape is impossible!
This Pisces lunar eclipse, with its association of the "ocean of consciousness" in Pisces, lends the eclipse energy a delicate and sensitive nature, encouraging us to connect with the deep inner "dreamy, rich, sharp, intuitive" ocean of consciousness. During this spiritual moment, the subtle emotions and cosmic messages we often overlook seem to surge towards us, providing precious moments of consciousness transcendence. However, it's also easy to become overwhelmed by excessive emotions and feelings, potentially causing health and sleep issues.
Therefore, the primary focus during this Pisces lunar eclipse is to maintain emotional stability and a balanced state: facing the truth and accepting reality is actually the simplest yet most effective strategy, akin to Sun Yingsha's decisive forehand smash—direct and to the point, which undoubtedly is the most focused approach to reaching your goal.
"The Three T Triad": Walking in Harmony with the Universe to Encounter Light
Celestial Events:
- New Moon "T-Triangle" Formation: Under broad allowances, the Pisces Moon and Virgo Sun each square Jupiter in Gemini.
- Lunar Nodes "T-Triangle" Formation: Mars in Cancer squares the Libra South Node and Aries North Node.
- Mercury, Jupiter, and Saturn "T-Triangle" Formation: Mercury in Virgo engages in a "Jupiter-Saturn square" structure, opposing Saturn in Pisces and squaring Jupiter in Gemini.
This Pisces lunar eclipse presents us with an intriguing "Three T Triad" setup.
First, regarding the initial two formations: the "New Moon T-Triangle" occurs along the lunar eclipse line, with Jupiter in Gemini situated in the middle of the "Sun-Moon opposition" axis, amplifying the lunar eclipse energy. Secondly, Mars in Cancer forms a tight "Lunar Nodes T-Triangle" with the "Libra South Node - Aries North Node" axis, adding a warrior driven by subjective emotions to the lunar eclipse energy.
The two "T-Triangle" structures follow the "Sun-Moon opposition" and lunar nodes axes but intertwine due to the lunar eclipse, creating a significant impact. Therefore, we need to remain mindful of our emotional states and make conscious choices:
- Will we allow emotions to overflow and actions to become reckless? Or will we rationally regulate our emotions and objectively assess situations?
- As mentioned earlier, questioning "Why must the grains of sand return to their original place?" reflects habitual or subjective thought patterns that require conscious awareness to prevent unconscious expectations and projections.
- How we choose depends on each person's awareness and adjustment of their inner consciousness; crucially, whether we veer left or right, we can always make subtle adjustments within our consciousness, avoiding rigid decisions.
Now, focusing on the third formation: the "Mercury, Jupiter, and Saturn T-Triangle" indicates that Mercury in Virgo has entered the energy web of the significant celestial event "Jupiter-Saturn square" (for details, see: Full Moon in Aquarius):
- In the week following this Pisces lunar eclipse, careful attention is needed regarding contradictions in words and viewpoints, as the handling of current events and entanglements may lead to lingering issues, particularly in December this year.
- Sometimes, it's not about "who is right," but "who is practically effective."
Thus, the "Three T Triad" of this Pisces lunar eclipse communicates one thing: what you see may not be the truth, and what you believe to be correct may not be the method. It is vital to let go of those "stubborn attachments" over the next six months; not competing means conserving energy. Accept whatever comes, and walking in harmony with the universe will guide you to the light.
Grateful for the universe's arrangements. Wishing health to every life and peace to every soul.
