Astrological Indicators of Wealth and Prosperity
1. Sagittarius + Taurus
Sagittarius’s optimism can be downright irrepressible. Even when they’re dealing with unemployment, heartbreak, or a major financial setback—times when most other signs would throw in the towel—Sagittarius takes it in stride, cheerfully chalking it up to the universe preparing them for bigger responsibilities. This isn’t just putting on a brave face; Sagittarius is genuinely upbeat and passionate about life. They’re just as sunny about money, too. If a Sagittarius opens a clothing shop on Taobao, they’ll impulsively load up on inventory, convinced every item will sell, business will boom, and life will gleam like a brand-new pearl.
Pair that with Taurus, though, and those rosy plans can get derailed. Taurus is thoughtful and deliberate, often slow to move—but when it comes to money, they’re surprisingly quick and never sloppy. Long before Sagittarius makes an impulsive push to invest more, Taurus has already parked most of their savings in safer bets. Sagittarius’s spend-happy plans come to an abrupt halt.
2. Leo + Pisces
Leo is the poster child for keeping up appearances. Even when money’s tight at the end of the month, they’ll hop into the front seat of the cab with friends so they can pay first. Pisces cares about appearances, too, but theirs often comes from embellishment. Picture Pisces at home in worn-out loungewear eating leftover rice; if a friend calls to ask what they’re up to, they might casually say, “I’m in my robe listening to records, and I’m a little hungry, so I’m microwaving last night’s takeout.”
Leo and Pisces sit at opposite ends: one spends for real; the other spins a pleasant fantasy. Over time, Leo learns to dial it back. They may not match Pisces’s knack for charming make-believe, but they do pick up a few white lies. At a get-together, Leo might claim they have another commitment when friends suggest heading somewhere else, or say they’ve got something to do—then quietly take the bus later and save the cab fare.
3. Gemini + Cancer
Gemini loves novelty. “Trying new things is a way of life” could have been written for them. They’re like a weather vane, always changing and often unsure how they really feel. If someone brings up getting a new phone number, Gemini will ditch the one they’ve had for years; mention how convenient Wi‑Fi is, and they’re instantly intrigued. At the supermarket, Gemini is the sign most easily swayed by promo staff and limited-time deals.
Cancer, on the other hand, isn’t having it. They love to save, partly because they tend to worry; even on calm days they can sense storm clouds on the horizon. Their need for security makes them cling tightly to what they have—especially money. They also put family first; by their early twenties, they’re already thinking about the costs of raising kids and future education expenses. The more they think, the more anxious they get—so the hard-earned money made through sweat and tears won’t be casually blown by impulsive Gemini.
Once Cancer gets a grip on the money, they don’t let go. After a few run-ins with Gemini over finances, Cancer stays firm, and Gemini starts to find them a bit boring. Eventually, Gemini channels their craving for novelty into things that don’t cost a dime.
4. Aquarius + Virgo
Aquarius isn’t one to stick to the status quo. They get bored easily and feel compelled to create their own brand of fun—and fun often costs money. Sure, sticking with the same thing is usually more cost-effective; routines at work, for example, reduce time costs and avoid redoing tasks. But Aquarius believes repetition dulls the spirit and makes life unbearable, so they constantly switch things up.
Enter Virgo with a dose of practicality. Say Aquarius suddenly wants to switch careers and work in human resources at a multinational. The conservative Virgo starts a rational breakdown: “How long will it take you to learn HR? There’s a professional HR certification exam—have you considered that? Even if you pass, can you land a job at a multinational? Your language skills might be rusty—will you need to brush up? And even if you get in, you’ll be starting from the bottom. After years out of school, can you handle that? Have you calculated how much money you could lose making a snap decision like this?” Faced with Virgo’s relentless questioning, Aquarius feels more impulsive than ever and quickly drops the idea. Money saved.
5. Aries + Capricorn
Of all twelve signs, Aries is the most impulsive—especially with spending. If they see something a friend has, on TV, or in a magazine, once the idea sparks, they feel an urgent need to get it.
If they truly like it, they think, “Why not? Money’s for enjoying life.” The trouble is, a few days later Aries often forgets all about the new toy. Beyond the hit to the wallet, in today’s eco-conscious world, that’s a waste of resources.
Enter Capricorn. Far-sighted Capricorn skips the small stuff and saves up for what lasts. They might tell Aries, “Do you really think buying that big cross-stitch is worth it? You’re spending money and time on something that won’t bring lasting joy. If you spend a bit more, you could take an in-person English class with a native-speaking teacher; spend a little more and join a gym. Invest a bit more and buy an IBM laptop while they’re still around. An IBM can last at least five years—that’s about $7 a day for a high-performance machine waiting for you at home… Do the math!” Next to Capricorn, Aries seems downright childish, and over time Capricorn’s pragmatism douses Aries’s impulsive spark.
