This zodiac sign is often called the “genius sign” or the “sign of the future.” Its ruling planet is Uranus. In Greek mythology, Uranus is a wise deity who understands the heavens and the earth and can foresee the future. As a result, people born under Aquarius love exploring the unknown, have foresight and originality, and are intelligent and rational—natural pioneers of new ideas. When given the freedom to think and make their own decisions, they show exceptional ability at work, generating a steady stream of ideas and sudden insights that lead them to create what others might never consider.

Aquarians are open-minded, peace-loving, and advocate equality for all, regardless of status or wealth. They respect personal freedom, enjoy helping others, and cherish life—classic idealists and humanitarians. They believe strongly in universal principles, which often gives them a reformist (or even revolutionary) spirit. Friends are vital in their lives, and during difficult times they often receive help from family, friends, and even strangers. In turn, Aquarians are always ready to support those in need, sometimes at their own expense.

Moreover, Aquarians have little tolerance for constraints and resist strict rules. When something captures their interest, they can devote tremendous effort; however, if life becomes too monotonous, frustration can set in and even lead to moods that others find hard to bear. In reality, many things we must do are not inherently interesting, and that requires endurance—a quality Aquarians often lack.

1. Guardian Crystal of Aquarius

Fluorite, also known as rainbow crystal or cold jade, is named for its fluorescent reaction under fluorescent lights. It is the guardian crystal of Aquarius, helping soothe impatience, reduce mental tension, and relieve work-related stress. It can heighten Aquarians’ intuition, boosting creativity, thinking ability, and analytical skills. It supports analysis, comparison, synthesis, and restructuring, aiding academic pursuits, refining aesthetic appreciation and charm, and helping purify the aura while clearing negative energies. Fluorite can soften the reclusive tendencies of Aquarians and strengthen their relationships. Additionally, fluorite corresponds to the heart chakra and is said to offer protective and preventive benefits for the heart, lungs, nervous system, circulation, and immune system.

That said, Aquarians often have very active minds and prefer unconventional approaches, and wearing fluorite may further amplify that liveliness. Therefore, it is advisable to pair it with tiger’s eye or amethyst to harmonize this active energy.

2. Fluorite

Fluorite, also known as fluorspar, has the chemical composition CaF2 and belongs to the isometric crystal system among halide minerals. It emits blue or purple fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light, cathode rays, or heat, which is how it got its name. Crystals often appear as cubes, octahedra, or interpenetrating cubes, and aggregates can be granular or massive. Common colors include light green, light purple, and colorless transparent; it can also appear rose-red. It has a white streak, a glassy luster, and ranges from transparent to opaque.

The most widely known legend about fluorite is not its name but its association with the “night pearl.” In fact, most night pearls are fluorite that glows by phosphorescence due to trace elements. However, fluorite with these components is uncommon, and many so-called night pearls on the market are man-made. Not all fluorite glows, but many glowing night pearls are indeed fluorite.

China is one of the countries with the largest fluorite deposits in the world, accounting for about 35% of global reserves. Archaeological findings show that the Hemudu people in Yuyao, Zhejiang, used fluorite as adornments seven thousand years ago. Other major sources include South Africa, Mexico, Mongolia, Russia, the United States, Thailand, and Spain.

3. Types and Functions of Fluorite

Fluorite is renowned for its vivid colors, with green and green-purple being the most common. Other colors include colorless, blue, and yellow, and each hue may have slightly different effects.

1. Green Fluorite

Green fluorite is the most common type. It helps balance excess energy and lift the spirit. It’s the kind of crystal that makes you feel invigorated when worn, but it’s not ideal when you’re overly fatigued. Green fluorite is also considered beneficial for the stomach and intestines.

2. Purple Fluorite

Purple fluorite often appears alongside green fluorite and is relatively rarer. It supports communication and interaction, helping us express our thoughts more simply.

3. Colorless Fluorite

Colorless fluorite is more commonly used in combination with other crystals, as its active field can stimulate the fields of other stones, enhancing their respective effects.

4. Blue Fluorite

Blue fluorite sharpens intellectual thinking, helping organize thoughts and improve verbal expression. It positively impacts our ideas and reasoning. However, those who are already highly rational should be cautious when wearing blue fluorite, as it may further amplify logical thinking and expression, which can sometimes affect people around them.

5. Yellow Fluorite

Yellow fluorite can enhance the wearer’s creativity and is the most effective for integrating group efforts. Wearing yellow fluorite is also considered beneficial for the liver.

4. How to Wear Fluorite

 Method One

Lie flat or recline, then place fluorite on your third eye or wear it as a forehead headpiece in the Indian style. During this time, stay calm and connect with your crystal, allowing its energy to flow through your third eye into your body. Green fluorite can help detoxify; blue fluorite can stabilize emotions and strengthen the mind; colorless and purple fluorite can clear surrounding chaos and bring order, especially to your thoughts.

Method Two

Buy a palm-sized piece of fluorite or a bracelet (a bracelet is more effective) and often hold it in your left palm. Make a habit of gently stroking and holding the fluorite. At first, focus on the calm and order it brings and let that feeling become a habit in your life, so you naturally sense fluorite’s power. Once this habit forms, when you feel angry or upset, this action will help curb your emotions and prevent impulsive reactions. Even when you are furious and forget to use it to regulate your mood, fluorite will, through its own influence, remind you and help you regain control. Practiced regularly, this can ease stress from many sources. This method works best with green and blue fluorite.

Method Three

Place fluorite between your thighs or near the solar plexus to promote calm and confidence, helping you stay organized and agile. Using it while driving can also enhance alertness.

5. Maintenance and Care of Fluorite

  • The biggest taboo with fluorite is to never wear it on the right hand. Also, do not doubt its efficacy, as this is said to affect its function.
  • Fluorite needs regular purification, especially when using Method One to cleanse your body; it should be purified after each use, using methods similar to those for other crystals. For regular wear, it’s best to purify it every two weeks to maintain its effectiveness.
  • It’s best not to wear fluorite while sleeping, as its active field may affect sleep.
  • Large pieces of fluorite (especially night pearls) should be avoided in the bedroom.
